Victorian Conservatory

The Victorian conservatory is one of our most popular styles of conservatory – and it's not hard to understand why. Inspired by an era of gothic architecture, complete with ornate cresting and finials. They can be readily adapted to suit bespoke or combination designs and fit in whatever space is available – from a large garden to a small patio area.

Thanks to its impressive versatility and its ability to complement most types of property, the Victorian is one of the most frequently seen styles of conservatory. It can be distinguished by its steeply pitched roof and its use of ornate detailing along the roof’s centre apex (called the ridge). Typically, Victorian conservatories have 3 or 5 panel facets. Edwardian Conservatory

A modern interpretation of a regal age in British architectural history, the Edwardian is a typically characterised by its square or rectangular footprint. This intern means they are incredibly space efficient, allowing you to enjoy the maximum possible floor area. However that’s not to say Edwardian conservatories are all about function. They offer a form in abundance too thanks to their wide spread use of design flourishes such as elaborate cresting and detailed mouldings.

Called either the Georgian or Edwardian, this style of conservatory is similar to the Victorian. The main difference is that they are flat fronted where as the Victorian has an angular front. Representing a perfect marriage of form and function, they also tend to be more understated - making them the ideal choice if you do not wish to detract from the visual impact of the main property. Traditional Sun Lounge (Lean – to) conservatories

The great thing about our conservatories is the amount of flexibility with design. Maybe you’re looking for something a little less ornate, perhaps you live in a bungalow or a house with low eaves. Either way, a sun lounge conservatory equates to the perfect design solution. Sometimes referred to as a Mediterranean or sun room, this style enjoys crisp clean lines and has a truly modern feel. Minimalism has never been more exciting.

Traditional Sun Lounge conservatories are often fitted onto dwarf walls but the design is also suited to a fully glazed design or part glazed with solid moulded panels to the low level glazing. With modern advances in technology the rafters used for sun lounge design can now achieve a projection of 4000mm unsupported.

This is have several advantages the best of being it can be fitted into more areas with height restrictions from the proposed finished floor level. Edwardian or Victorian “P” Shape Conservatories

As it suggests this type of conservatory combines two style to create a finished structure that usually has a “P” shaped floor plan. In this way it offers two distinctive areas which can be used however your heart desires. For instance, you might like to use one area for dinning and the other for relaxing, the choice and the flexibility is yours.

Plus in addition to the “P” shape structures combination conservatories can also be used to create “T” and “B” shapes.

Combination and P-shaped conservatories are everything their titles suggest. They offer you more space and greater levels of flexibility by combining two styles – such as the Georgian and the Lean-to – or by adapting an existing style so that it can be used in the shape of a ‘P’. Lantern Conservatories

Lantern roofs are the perfect finishing touch for any large conservatory. They consist of a roof in two tiers with the different levels separated by a row of small windows. This additional glazing adds height and presence to the overall construction whilst also increasing the sense of interior space. Plus, openers for these smaller windows can be incorporated to increase ventilation. There is even the option to include decorative glazing for the ultimate in aesthetic appeal.

Lantern roofs are a majestic and memorable choice for larger conservatories. Not only do they add a feeling of height to the overall structure, but the use of glass rather than polycarbonate increases light levels and gives you an unhindered view of the sky above. Conservatories for Bungalows

If you are considering a new conservatory fitted onto a bungalow you may not be as restricted as you think as to what designs are available. With advances in design and technology over the last several years you are no longer restricted to just the one design. The most popular designs are Edwardian and Victorian designs and this is made possible by using “Box valley gutters”. These are specially made heavy duty aluminium sections which are fitted directly onto the bungalow fascia and collect the water for both roofs. Gable Fronted Conservatories

Few styles capture the proud architectural heritage of a conservatory quite like the gable. Resistant of the grand orangeries and classic conservatories of yester year. This type of conservatory enjoys imposing front elevations with the windows extending up to the apex of the roof. As a result it enjoys a real sense of presence and can add a feel of stately splendour to any home, and in particular older properties.

Few conservatories are more imposing or enjoy a great sense of presence than the Gable. A style that works especially well with older properties, these conservatories have a square floor plan. In addition, and unlike the Georgian/Edwardian or the Victorian, they also have a vertical rather than sloping front roof section, this maximises the feeling of light and space inside. Garden Room Conservatories

The one piece conservatory roof is quickly becoming an attractive alternative to traditional glass or polycarbonate roof systems. Manufactured from maintenance free GRP with a polyurethane core material, the roof will give excellent heat insulation which means your conservatory will remain a pleasant temperature all day. The solid roof will also prevent direct sun light and heat entering the conservatory through the roof.

The unique dental moulding gives the roof an attractive appearance to the outside and the inside has a pre-formed textured ceiling which you can colour at your own taste. Bespoke Design Conservatories

There is no denying that the range of our conservatories is expansive, but what if you want a style that’s unique to you? No problem. We have the ability to produce totally bespoke conservatories based on your own particular requirements, whether that’s an especially large span construction or a conservatory that’s based on unusual dimensions do to the nature of the site.

All the conservatories we supply and install are fully made to measure conservatories. When you combine this with advances in conservatory roof design and technology over the last several years it gives us an extremely flexible drawing board to create the conservatory of your dreams. It is possible connect different designs together such as an Edwardian and Victorian combination. We have completed several completely bespoke designs which you will not see anywhere else in the country.
