Residential Doors

As with the windows styles there many different styles of doors to choose from and they can be chosen to complement the style of your home or add individual flare. All of which can be fitted using a combination of glass, moulded panels and integrated frame section.

Most PVCu single doors are fitted using moulded in-fill panels. However we are increasing finding that cruciform doors and half cruciform doors are becoming more popular. These doors can also be glazed with a vast number of decorative glass designs which are available.

There are lots of options available to create an individual design; from different wood-grain finishes to coloured profiles to the many different decorative glass options there are available.

There are also differences in the performance and appearance of different PVCU systems to consider, our showroom in Ilkeston has the Deceuninck PVCU system on display in natural light so you can see the difference for yourself. Featuring new attractive / more subtle grey low sight line gaskets / this is a much less harsh contract against the PVCU than the usual black gaskets (All profiles have the gaskets fitted before manufacture of the frame to ensure shrinking glazing gaskets are a thing of the past.

All frames are “FULLY REINFORCED” with galvanised steel (not aluminium) to ensure maximum performance of the locking system and structural durability.

Different elevations are coupled together using structural reinforced bay pole and corner post assembly sections.

In addition to the Pilkington K glass / Low E glazing we also specify all our glass units are Argon gas filled to further improve the thermal efficiency of the glazing.

All doors are fitted with a hook locking system which incorporated two hook locks, a dead bolt and two cams, on French doors two shoot bolt locks are also added at the top and bottom of the door / For Added security all doors are fitted with an anti-drill door cylinder.

Crucially all our windows and doors are fully reinforced with galvanised steel to ensure maximum performance of locking systems.

Modern PVCU systems require very little maintenance to maintain there appearance and performance. The only regular maintenance which is required is every six months lubricate the locking systems and hinges fitted to the windows and doors. WD40 or a silicone spray is suitable. This will ensure the ironmongery will out last the guarantees.
