The
Lifestyle Team:
At Lifestyle we have always
used the very best products available
and always employed a no pressure sales
policy and competitive prices but that
is only a small part of what has made
Lifestyle the successful and established
company it is today. A close team of employees
make the difference from Lifestyle being
just another company to a company who
has built a reputation for quality installations,
professionally installed.
We are a very close team
and several of our management have been
here for many years, this is also the
case for many of our installers and construction
teams some of who have been here as long
as nine years. These close relationships
make operating efficiently much easier
and this is then seen it the quality of
the finished installation.
It is very important for
all members of staff to work together
and appreciate the demands of other departments.
For instance we have always tried to eliminate
as many problems as possible before a
customer places and order and the technical
surveyor completes his site survey. These
can be problems in design or a problems
relating to a difficult site.
We have received awards
from the Consumer Protection Association
for Customer Care and Regional Installer
of the Year from Quantal Conservatory
Roof Systems. These awards can only be
accredited to the dedication and professionalism
of our staff.
This team ethic is
something we look for in the additional
trades that we employ such as floor tillers,
plasterers, plumbers, electricians, felt
roofers and scaffold installers. It is
important they realise the standards of
work set by lifestyle and we depend on
recommendations to friends and family.
As with our members of staff, we have
long - term relationships with all of
the trades we bring in. We have always
believed that additional work that is
required on many types of installation
should be done by someone in that trade
i.e if you have plumbing to do……use
a plumber!!!
Typical
installation time:
From date of order:
Windows and doors - 4 weeks
Replacement roofline (fascias and soffits)
– 4 weeks
Conservatory (including base and dwarf
walls) – 8 weeks
The first step when you
have placed an order is to have a complete
site survey by our technical surveyors
to confirm final manufacturing sizes and
double check the home surveyors design.
When the site survey is complete an installation
date can be confirmed.
(These times are approximate;
they can change due to weather conditions
or illness and don’t include planning
permission, for an accurate time on installation
contact the installation department.)
FENSA:
All relevant installations
are registered with FENSA within 20 days
of the installation date. FENSA will issue
you with your FENSA certificate directly.
This can take several weeks depending
on the time of year. It is important to
keep this in a safe place as it may be
required if you choose to sell your home.
Guarantee:
All work is covered by the
relevant guarantee, this guarantee is
activated upon payment of the final balance
of your installation. The installation
team will have your guarantee, invoice
and maintenance guidelines at the end
of the installation. The insurance guarantee
is issued upon receipt of payment.
Payment
Terms:
Supply and Installation:
In most cases we ask for
a 10% deposit with all orders, however
if you are still in the process of arranging
finance, receiving a grant or don’t
feel comfortable giving a deposit there
is no problem.
We request the balance for
all orders is given to the installation
team on completion of the work. We accept
personal cheques, banker’s drafts
and cash. We don’t have a credit
card facility available.
On our conservatories we
often have payment schedule for large
orders; however this is not a conventional
stage payment system, a typical example
would be;
A conservatory order value
of £10,000.00
A Deposit of £1000.00
Balance £9000.00
Payment schedule:
On completion of the conservatory
(including construction of the base and
walls, installation of the conservatory,
any drainage work)
A stage payment of £8000.00 would
be requested.
On completion of the floor
tiles and electric’s the final balance
of £1000.00 would be due.
YOU PAY FOR NOTHING
UNTIL YOUR CONSERVATORY IS BUILT!!!

Lifestyle Windows, Doors
and Conservatories LTD is a small local
family owned and operated business based
in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. We were established
in 1994 and have built a strong reputation
installing work in Nottinghamshire and
Derbyshire for quality products, professional
staff and competitive prices. In fact
we now rely on recommendations for most
of our business. These basic principles
have led to Lifestyle receiving the Customer
Care Award from the Consumer Protection
Association.
The dedication of our installation
teams is a big factor in our recommend
base and certainly the biggest factor
in winning any award. We have twice been
awarded the Quantal Conservatory Roof
System Regional Installer of the Year
Award. This can only be put down the professionalism
of all the staff in our installation department.
This can be seen in all installations
from a new pantry window to a new swimming
pool enclosure that we built in 2004.
We have never believed in
any high-pressure sales tactics, our home
surveyors will simply look at the proposed
work talk about the design and products
available. We have always believed it
is important to forward a written quotation
after home survey with all the details
of the proposed installation. With our
conservatories we also have a photo-CAD
facility to illustrate the proposed designs.
We have also built up a
reputation for a competitive price structure,
we are not a cheap company but we are
also not an expensive company. It can
be difficult to find the right balance;
but we believe we know what today’s
consumer wants; value for money. It is
always a good idea to get more than one
quotation and if you analyse the differences
you will see we are rarely beaten on a
like for like quotation.
Our showroom and conservatory
village is based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire
directly in the town centre. Our outdoor
conservatory village has six conservatories
on display with variations on design and
specification. While people find our site
very impressive we pride ourselves that
the work we install often surpasses the
standard of finishing in the showroom.
The best way to get a feel
for Lifestyle is to view some of the installations
we have previously done, this way you
can see why we choose to rely on recommendation
rather than heavy marketing campaigns
for our new business. We also strongly
believe that the standard of our work
on-site is better than the work on display
in the showroom so visiting site you can
see the standards we like to set.
