Quantal Conservatory
Roof Systems
 In
addition to the K2 Conservatory roof system we also have been installing the
Quantal conservatory roof system for many years. The Quantal roof system has
some major differences from the conventional roof systems available. The conventional
systems available are constructed using an aluminium frame, which is then covered
with PVCU cappings. The Quantal conservatory roof system has one major difference;
externally the roof has a powder coated finish directly on the aluminium frame.
Powder coating is extremely durable to the elements and UV light that is the
major cause of product ware, this gives the roof a 25 Year life expectancy.
Structurally the Quantal roof system is also a lot stronger than
the conventional systems available. It is capable of spanning much larger distances
without the need for tie bars sets or a purling, if you specify glass roof glazing
there is also more flexibility to what distances can be spanned without needing
a tie bar set. As such it is often the roof system that is specified by architects
on larger commercial designs.
In 2004 we used the Quantal
roof system for an enclosure for an exercise
swimming pool in Toton, Nottingham. The
exercise pool was imported from America
and it was the first pool of its kind
to be installed in a conservatory in the
UK.
There are some cosmetic
benefits as well, which distinguish the
Quantal roof system from the solid cast
cresting and finials, the high gloss finish
and the heavy duty gallery end section
with dressed finish.
The finish of this system
is available in white, dark brown, caramel
and the full range of RAL colours. Internally
Quantal offer a unique range of laminated
timber cladding in a choice of colours.
All of the roof glazing options are also
available for this roof system, 25mm and
35mm polycarbonate or the full range of
24mm glass options.
The Quantal conservatory
roof system is also a BBA approved roof
system, which ensure top quality throughout
our product range.
