Conservatories today are
used not just as sun rooms, they are used
as dining rooms, offices, playrooms and
kitchen extensions. As such almost all
conservatories have some electrical requirements.
From January 2005 a new
building regulation has been introduced;
Part “P”. A new regulatory
body called ELECSA has been created to
monitor this new regulation. Any work
that comes under the building regulation
must be completed by an ELECSA qualified
electrician and certified to confirm the
work meets the proper standard.
Here are some of the different
electrical options available for conservatories:
- Power points
- Wall lights
- Fan / light combinations
- T.V. points
- Telephone sockets
- External brick lights
- External power points
Tip: When buying a fan /
light combination don’t forget the
correct size extension rod. (Twelve Inches)
