| The
installation process – conservatories:
Once you have placed an
order for a conservatory the typical time
for completion is six – eight weeks.
However this date can be influenced by
several factors, planning permission,
a unique design, staff holidays. In many
cases identifying the brick match can
be the biggest factor in arranging a start
date.
After the conservatory build
is complete additional trades such as
floor tillers, plasterers and electricians
will follow. You will receive a written
plan for the installation of the conservatory
prior to the conservatory installation
team starting.
Step1:
After the final decision
on style, design and specification have
been made the technical surveyor will
contact you to arrange the site survey.
From this site visit the technical surveyor
will double check the details you and
the home surveyor have decided on. When
he has checked these details he will determine
the final build dimensions and position.
The original dimensions may alter slightly
from the home surveyor as there may be
unforeseen technical difficulties.
The technical surveyor will
now start to identify the correct brick
for your conservatory – this can
influence the start date.
Step 2:
The construction team will
then begin to work. Preparing the foundations,
laying the concrete floor and constructing
the cavity walls. Any work required to
drains, man holes etc will also be carried
out by the construction team.
Step 3:
The conservatory installation
team will now begin to erect the frames
and roof.
- Fit the welded
sill onto the external brickwork
- Fix the side wall
frames into position
- Construct the
conservatory roof
- Prepare the lead
flashing
- Glaze the side
wall frames and the roof
- Cut and fit the
internal window boards
- Clean and seal
the conservatory
