Internal and External
wall finishes:
Traditionally conservatories
have been built mainly with brick finished
walls. However conservatories have moved
on from what they were 10 years ago. They
are not just sunrooms they are a valuable
and practical additional to your home,
and a room which is usable all year round.
We are all different and
have different views on how a conservatory
should be finished off, this is often
influenced by its intended use.
Brick still remains the
most popular internal finish; it gives
the feel of a garden room, which is what
many people feel a conservatory should
feel like.
Plastering has become a
popular alternative internal wall finish.
More people want their conservatory to
feel more like a room, and decoration
from the house can be carried on into
the conservatory.
We always try to match the
brick on the conservatory for the brick
on the house, although this is sometimes
easier said than done. Sometimes a brick
is no longer made or has changes colour
depending on its date of manufacture.
You will have final approval of the choice
of brick prior to construction.
(If your property is relatively new then
it may be possible to locate the brick
type from house builder)
We have also rendered
the external finish on many conservatories
helping them blend in with the house
